About
Founded in February 2018 by philosopher Samantha Toledo, Serendipity School began as an English school for children and teenagers and gained notoriety thanks to its academic quality, dedication to children and young people, and the beauty of its facilities.
July 1, 2024 is the date of its move to the Palace and the milestone of its transformation into a regular school (from 4 months to 15 years, that is, from Early Childhood Education — from 4 months — to Elementary School II).
On the one hand, the Serendipity School at the Palace is a "public philosophy" enterprise run by an academic philosopher. On the other, it remains faithful to the principles of its first incarnation in its small campus: nurturing lasting relationships with students' families and being a space for free thought, with an artistic vocation. These characteristics alone justify its reincarnation as a bilingual (Portuguese and English) educational institution in Reggio Emilia. (see Atelier). (By the way, “Serendipity” means “coming across interesting or happy things by chance,” which the Reggio mantra evokes with “expect the unexpected.”)
